Krisstofer was born youngest in a family of two children in Helsinki, Finland. His father was a reverend and his mother was a seamstress that worked part time as the leader of her husband's church choir. He grew up under the thumb of his parents to become what his father was. His sister was pegged as quite rebellious from what their parents wanted for her but they never came down hard on her for it. She went on to move out at the age of seventeen and became a tattoo artist.
Krisstofer did not follow what his parents requested for him but he did not show huge signs of rebellion up until his junior year of high school when they moved from Helsinki to Tampere, Finland. He met a group of guys in school and started up a band. He also picked up a rather hard habit of drinking and smoking. He barely graduated high school because of his preoccupation with smoking, drinking and on top of that his new found love for music.
After he got out of school, he took up interest in becoming a funeral director and took these courses until he was able to open is own funeral home. After obtaining his visas from entertaining among other things, he was able to open his own funeral home in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
Krisstofer now resides in West Chester, Pennsylvania as the owner of his funeral home located on the corner of Gay street. His band has released a few EP's and two full length albums and frequents Ruisrock in Finland. He's recongnized mostly for his frail, skinny features and the way he accessorizes his wardrobe. His trade mark on stage is generally performing while smoking a cigarette.
His extended family include cousin luukas from his mother's side.
